It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Lou Walkenbach of Hermann, Missouri, born in Rhineland, Missouri, who passed away on November 2, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Parker Stiers and Louisa Stiers (Theissen); her husband Herbert Walkenbach; her siblings, Ruby Jackish, Lee Stiers, Harry, Jim, Bill and Bonny Stiers; her son-in-law Steve Richardson; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Fern Stiers, Betty Lee Stiers, Shirley Stiers, Loraine Montoya, Julitta Jones, Lillian Walkenbach, Daniel Jackish, Reuben Peters, Walter, Raymond and Harold Walkenbach.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Walkenbach (Judy) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Bill Walkenbach (Claudia) of Hermann, Missouri, Dave Walkenbach of Columbia, Missouri, Rick Walkenbach (Diane) of Troy, Illinois, Kathy Spearman (Ed) of Hermann, Missouri, Jane West (Jerry) of Pelham, Alabama, LuAnn Richardson of Springfield, Missouri, Kris Toedtmann (Bart) of Hermann, Missouri, Vicki Puchta of Hermann, Mike Walkenbach and Janice of Hermann, Missouri; her sister Freida "Moe" Peters of Hermann; and her sister-in-law Valora Stiers of Hermann, Missouri.. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. George Church, St. George School, Children's Heart Foundation or Hermann Hospital.
