He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dale and Nadine Hoover (Sibley). He is survived by: his wife Lois Hoover (Anderson); his children, Mark Hoover, Angie Hoover and Laura Castaneda; and his siblings, Pat Bess and Dennis Hoover. He is also survived by many sisters & brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. George School.
