She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Frank Hellwig; her parents, Elmer Eberwein and Estella Eberwein; and her siblings, Orland Eberwein, Glenn Eberwein, Elmer Lee Eberwein and Nolene Mertz (Eberwein).
She is survived by: her children, Walter Hellwig (Lisa), Brenda Morehouse (David) and Douglas Hellwig (Holly); and her grandchildren, Kurt Hellwig (Clara), Rachel Hellwig, Luke Hellwig and Hannah Hellwig. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
