We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2024, at the age of 95, Dorothy Schaffner of Hermann, Missouri, born in Moravia, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Schaffner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Hiner and Ruby E. Hiner (Foster); her husband Horace Schaffner; and her brothers, John, Max and Pearl Hiner.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Kinion (Kent) of Madison, Alabama, Dorcas Ruff (Gary) of Chamois, Missouri, Daniel Schaffner (Sue) of La Porte, Colorado and Debbie Miller (Bill) of Hermann; her close friend Carli Schaffner of Ankney, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hiner of Rock Island, Iowa, Mary Schaffner of Seymour and Linda Schaffner of Omaha. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to Gentiva Hospice or Maine Station Cemetery.
