He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Alber and Joan Witzel (Umbright). He is survived by: his wife Linda Alber (Greathouse); his stepfather Bud Witzel of Hermann; his children, Nick Alber of Foristell, Missouri, Nathan Alber of Fort Worth, Texas, Sabra Greathouse of Hermann, Missouri, Mercedes Schnelting of Hermann, Missouri and Arial Osborne of Hermann, Missouri; and his brother Dan Alber (Amanda) of Wildwood. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
