He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence C. Meyer and Hilda Meyer (Horstmann); his wife D. J. Meyer; his son Stephen Meyer; his grandson Matthew Christopher Smith; his brother Ken Meyer; and his brother-in-law Frank Struttman.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Meyer Smith (John Michael) of Cleveland, Ohio; his daughter-in-law Lynda Meyer of Memphis, Tennessee; his grandson Benjamin Smith (Maj); his siblings, Eldon Meyer (Maggie) of Hermann, Missouri and Mary Struttman of Hermann, Missouri; and his sister-in-law RuthAnn Meyer of St. Peters, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to Parkinson's Foundation or The American Cancer Society.
