He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Koester and Marie Koester; and his siblings, Ray Koester (Judy), Kathy Paluczak (Don) and Debbie Koester.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Koester; his children, Tammy Smith (Troy), Scott Koester (Michelle) and Kurt Koester (Lauren); his grandchildren, Colten, Carson, Breily Smith, Brandon, Julie, Zachary Koester, Natalie, Madison and Jessi Koester; and his siblings, Joan Strylec (late Walter), Sharon Berry (Gus), Jack Koester (Gina) and Steve Koester (Debbie).
Memorials may be made in Ron's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
