He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Ehlmann and Helen Ehlmann; and his brother Paul Ehlmann. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Ehlmann; his son Scott Ehlmann (Tammy); his grandchildren, Dylan and Emily Ehlmann; and his siblings, Earl Ehlmann (Marilyn) and Carol Schiermeier (Ricky).
