He is survived by: his wife Doris Francis; his grandson Gregory Shands (Melanie) of Harviell; and his stepgrandchildren, Mikenna Tipton, Michael Tipton (Chelsea), Karen Shands, Katie (Zack Stucker) and Charles Drew Shands.
