He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther "Duke" Baccus and Dolly Baccus (Silkwood); his wife Barbara Sue Baccus of Coon Island; his sons, James Lyle Baccus and David Brooks; his siblings, Donald Lee Baccus and Ella Verneal Baccus; and his daughter-in-law Dee Brooks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Dye (Wayne) of Harviell and Stephanie Anderson (Jay) of Jackson; his grandson Allen Baccus (Bridget) of Neelyville; his sister Nancy Louise Ferguson (Baccus); and his daughter-in-law Amy Thompson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers, to make donations for the cemetery's upkeep and caretaking. Donations can be made on the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home.
