She was predeceased by: her parents, George Burgess and Mary Alice Benton Lawler; her husband Melvin Warren Claxton; her sons, Jerry Claxton and Brenton Claxton; and her siblings, Sherman, Bill Lawler, Ima Cope and Joann Lemons.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Michael Claxton of Mountain Grove, Andréa VanEaton of Marshfield and Amanda Burzynski of Springfield; her great grandchildren, Heidi and Dylan; her siblings, Farris Lawler of Mountain Grove, Dean Lawler of Edwards and Karen Burney of Mountain Grove; and her daughter-in-law Charlene Claxton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
