He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Earnest and Dorothy Sherman (Davis); his wife Jean Ann; his son Phillip Randal Sherman; his great grandchildren, Jordon and Blake Sherman; and his siblings, Bessie LeBrie and James Sherman.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Long (Mike) of Hartville, Mike Sherman (Tami) of Mansfield, Rob Sherman (Nancy) of Hartville, Terry Sherman (Wanda) of Hartville and Tim Sherman of Hartville; and his siblings, Annie Short of Great Falls and William Sherman of Lolo. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren.
