It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Pitts (Hartville, Missouri), born in Corsicana, Texas, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Blackstone and Maud Pitts (McCulloch); and his sisters, Bessie James, Ouida Garrett and Maudine Kilgore.

He is survived by: his spouse Dana Raye McWilliams; his children, Miriam Leigh Rushing (Derk) of Miami, David Benjamin Pitts, Jr. (Dana) of Atlanta, Georgia, Daniel Joseph "Dan" Pitts (Lynn) of Grovespring and Stephen Andrew Pitts of Madrid; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Pitts, Caroline Raye Pitts, David Benjamin Pitts III, Bradan Joseph Pitts (Savannah), Erin Leigh Hardaway (Sam), Kailey Blaire Pitts and Sara Tess Carpenter (Loyal); and his great grandchildren, Justice Blackstone and Merrick Knightley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established to The Hartville VFW or The Alzheimer's Association.
