It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Louise McCoy of Harrisonville, Missouri, who passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Lee and Thelma Fishback (Smith); and her husband Mac. She is survived by: her daughters, Sonya Wendler (Mark) of Ava, MO, Shelley Ederer of Lee's Summit, MO and Dowlene Wise (Mark) of Cleveland, MO; and her sister Carolyn Johnson (Keigh) of Lincoln, MO. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home (600 W Wall St, Harrisonville, MO 64701).
