He was predeceased by: his uncle Wayne "Buddy" Mathews; his grandparents, Betty, Walter "Bob" Mathews, Jerry and Mettie Newkirk; his stepbrother Ryan Prince; and his uncle Randy Newkirk.
He is survived by: his parents, Rodney Lee Newkirk (Sherry) of Tightwad, MO and Belinda Banaszak (Mathews) of DeLand, Florida; his wife Sarah Newkirk (Walton); his children, Zak Salter of Lenexa, KS, Noah Newkirk of Freeman, MO and Krista (Megan Reinbold) of Archie, MO; his granddaughter Avery Gilmore; and his brother Robby Newkirk (Angel) of Warsaw, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home (600 W Wall St, Harrisonville, MO 64701).
