He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Carl and Ila Lucille Eastland (Downs); and his siblings, Harold Eastland, Betty Clines and Wanda Kanuff.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Ilene Thompson; his children, Kenneth Eastland of Independence, MO, David Eastland (Idel) of Lee's Summit, MO and Karen Williams (Scott) of Osceola, MO; and his siblings, Donald Eastland of Elmo, MO, Melvin Eastland (Shirley) of Ava, MO and Imogene White. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Disabled Veterans.
