He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Speer and Lillian Speer (Cole); his brothers, Shannon Speer and Harrel Speer; and his son Kris Speer.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Shanks (Pat); his siblings, Coleene Debrot of Raymore, MO, Joetta Fraser of Gun Barrel City, TX and Denny Speer (Peggy) of Belton, MO; his children, Kenny Speer (Brenda) of Harrisonville, Karla Jones (Jim) of Harrisonville and Patrese (Dylan) of Kansas City, MO; his daughter-in-law Margaret Speer of Raymore; his grandchildren, Chad Speer (Karla), Brandon Speer (Brandy), Ashley Milburn, Josh Speer (Sam), Steven Jones (Anne) and Austin Speer (Megan); his great grandchildren, Alyssa Speer, Gavin Speer, Clinton Coones, Aron Jones, Piper Coones, Hunter Jones, Kenzie Coones, Dawson Jones, Morgan Speer, Macie Speer, Kyson Speer, Lane Speer, Kyler Speer, Hayden Speer, Raegan Jones, Ellis Speer and Maverick Speer; his father-in-law Louis Coleman; and his brother-in-law Roy Brewster. He is also survived by many other family members, friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dickey Funeral Homes (2401 E Mechanic St, Harrisonville, MO 64701). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
