He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cowan and June Cowan (Volyes); and his daughter Stacy Marie Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Cowan (Ayler) of Harrisonville, MO; his children, Miranda Bratton (Cowan) of Lee's Summit, MO and Jimmy Cowan (Sam) of Garden City; his grandchildren, Skyler Cowan (Olivia) of Lee's Summit, MO, Haylee Cowan of Harrisonville, MO and Olivia Bratton of Lee's Summit, MO; and his siblings, Mike Cowan (Chris) of Wisconsin, Janet Bray (Fred) of Harrisonville, MO and Mary Bryant (Steve) of Bolivar, MO. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dickey Funeral Homes (2401 E Mechanic St, Harrisonville, MO 64701). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
