She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mason and Nettie Ann Calton (Mattox); her former husband Gilbert Gordon David; her husband Adam Smelser; her sons, Gilbert Gordon David Jr. and Gary Lee David; and her granddaughter Lorie Lynn Wimsatt McGee.
She is survived by: her close friend Charles Uchtman; and her daughters, Mary Ellen Prettyman, Rose Marie Drury and Julie Daniels (Jack).
