With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austen Merrick of Harrisonville, Missouri, who passed away on July 9, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elliott Merrick and Kate Merrick; and his brother Kim Merrick. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his daughters, Brenda Harrington (Brian), Diane Schiever (Jef) and Dawn Belshe (Robert); his grandchildren, Austen and Kate Belshe; his sister Susan Hoover; and his nephew Martin Merrick.
In Lieu of flowers the family is asking for memorial donations be made with a purchase of a tree for the national forests or to the National Audubon Society.
