He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Melvin Lee and Kathleen Thacker (Nolker). He is survived by: his parents, Kirk David and Lisa Kay Thacker (Taylor); his sister Carly Thacker; his grandparents, Richard and Linda Taylor of Blue Springs; his aunts, Elaine Carter of Richmond, Christy Bruning (Craig) of Blue Springs and Amy Servi (Chris) of Oak Grove; and his cousins, Jimmy Carter, Rhyan William Carter, Cooper Bruning, Cadee Bruning, Conner Bruning, Blake Servi and Reece Servi. He is also survived by his friends and classmates.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Dalton Lee Thacker Scholarship Fund.
