He was predeceased by: his father Gary Sandberg; his sister Tina Sandberg; his grandparents, Merwyn, Betty Begalke, Earl, Isabel Sandberg and Arthur Kronschnable; his uncle Kenny Kronschnable; his aunt Donna Korte; and his stepfather Vincent Oestreich.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Kay Sandberg Oestreich (Kronschnable) of Hazen; his son Zachary Otis; his fiancés, Alex Otis of Brook Park, Nicholas Peterson of Mora, Paige Eigenheer of Blaine and Kody Sandberg of Sartell, Minnesota; his stepsiblings, Jeff Oestreich of Hazen, Gwen Fahlsing of Hazen and Loree Sailer of Garrison; and his close friends, Kendra Willison, Travis McClure, Jason Hartwig, Ryan Miller and Larry Oster. He is also survived by two grandchildren; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins.
