He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar M. Lain and Katherine Wyatt Lain; his spouse Margetta Sue Lain; his siblings, Leonard Lain and Donna Nicholson; and his nephews, Robert Riley, Jr. and Adam Fogle.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Lain (Christina) of Hannibal, Andy Lain of Hannibal and Heather Rickey (Thomas) of Hannibal; and his siblings, Kenneth Lain, Joe Lain, Tom Lain, Phillip Lain, James Lain (Leann), Theresa Gollaher (Joe), Monica Volner (Lou), Doris Riley and Elizabeth Powell (Jim). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
