He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel F. Beatty and Rosa Mae Phillips; and his brother Samuel Beatty, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Doris Fuqua; his children, Phyllis Ann Rainville (Dan) of Shelbina, MO, Russell Lee Beatty, Jr. (Martha) of Shelbina, MO, Jeff Beatty (Lori Beatty Williams) of Shelbina, MO and Bobbie Beatty (Carroll Harms) of Tioga, IL.; and his siblings, Bill Beatty (Sherry) of Vandalia, MO, Neil Beatty (Ann) of Dennard, AR and Phyllis VanValkenburg of Orion, IL.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
