She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Leroy Dotson and Evelyn Calvin Dotson; her sister Martha Jane Hudson (Harold); and her grandsons, Eric Christopher Locke and Kory Dean Locke.

She is survived by: her children, Jakye L. Cadwell of Hannibal and J. David Cole (Melissa) of Hannibal, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jason Locke (Alexis) and Ryan Locke (Marcia); her stepgrandchildren, Alexis Kendrick (Pat) and Erin Thakur (Dinesh); her great grandchildren, Preston Fohey Locke, Brent Locke, Brenleigh Rose Locke and Brody Locke; and her stepgreat-grandchild Trystan M. Kendrick. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
