He was predeceased by: his parents, Robey Powell and Mary Powell; his son Ronald W. Powell, Jr. (Ronnie); and his siblings, Jack Powell, Wilma Dillman, Mary Botkins and Rosia Lee Stolberg.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Maxine Powell (McCubbins); his daughters, Diana Shuck (Raymond) of Monroe City and Parthenia Gordon; his brothers, Donald Powell (Norma) of Philadelphia and Richard Powell; and his grandchildren, Chris Shuck (Ashley), Rachel Leake (Joe) and Katie Mefford (Steven). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren and numerous niece, nephews and cousins.
