He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Downing and Beulah Downing (Wilkinson); his brother Bill Downing; his parents-in-law, Irvin and Beulah Bragg; and his brothers-in-law, Joe, James Bragg and Russell Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Bragg; his grandchildren, Amber Cooley (Allen), Joshua Downing (Debbie), Charlotte Morrell (Bobby), Caleb Downing (Katie), Joshua Foster (Shira), Jacob Foster (Kellie), Zachary Downing (Bridgette), Morgan Downing (Brian Caldwell), Evan Sanders and Meghan Sanders; his siblings-in-law, Gerald Bragg (Mary) and Sandie Gibson; his nephew Don Downing; and his nieces, Kris Hougland and Lori Lawson. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Covenant Church or, in care of the Family through Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
