He was predeceased by: his father Charles E. Whitaker; and his brother David Whitaker. He is survived by: his mother Clara James Humphrey; his children, Chachi Martin and Raymond Whitaker; his siblings, Charlie James and Kathy Rhodes (Beaner); his granddaughters, Chevy and Clarissa; and his nephews, Charlie James Jr. and Jesse James. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
