He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie Mozie, Sr. and Lillian Slaughter Mozie; and his sister Althea Obie. He is survived by: his wife Minnie Abbey Mozie; his children, Zach Mozie (Haley) of Maryland, Melaina Sanders of Maryland, Obie Mozie III and Anglea Mozie; and his siblings, Donnie, Matt, Milton, Mary, Marie, Regina and Lindsey. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Great River Honor Flight.
