He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Carl Basford and Margaret Edlena May Basford; and his siblings, Donna Douglas, Judith Pilcher and Daniel Basford.
He is survived by: his spouse Yullonda Faye Hinckels; his children, Paula (Basford), Michael "Mick" Basford II (Julia) of Florida and Jennifer Basford-Fynmore of Arizona; his siblings-in-law, Jane Basford, Lacy Douglas and David Pilcher; his grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson (Tyler Brown), Nicolas Johnson (Ashley), Ashley Wilson and Kalin Basford; and his great grandchildren, Rylan Johnson and Laini Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society.
