He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frederick and Essie Ilean Doran Reed; his former wives, Judy Matson and Rose Baker; and his wife Carolyn Sue Pettit.
He is survived by: his children, Melisa Clevenger of Hannibal, MO, Brit Reed of Denver, CO, Kim Goodwin (Aaron) of Quincy, IL and Terri Bendure (James) of Brookfield, MO; his sister Sheila Flowers of Hannibal, MO; his grandchildren, Nathanael Reed, Malcolm Reed, Allen Reed, Bryleigh Goodwin and Dakota Longcor; and his great grandchildren, Britt Leo Reed and Freyja Alice Reed. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
