It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Smith Oppy of Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary Smith may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Smith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Dean Smith and Bertha E. Large Smith; her son Kenny Oppy; and her sister Janice Smith. She is survived by: her children, Becky Oppy of Hannibal, MO and Brad Smith of Hannibal, MO; her brother Charles "Chuckie" Smith Jr. of Hannibal, MO; her grandchildren, Hannah Smith and Rylan Berry; and her great grandchild George Peleqz.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401).
