She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edward Ames and Maggie Elizabeth Garrett Ames; her husband Donald Wayne Phelps Sr.; her brother-in-law Gene Campbell; and her great grandchild Nevaeh Smeltzer.
She is survived by: her children, Mary A. Phelps of Hannibal, MO, Bonnie Meyer (Nick Meyer) of Hannibal, MO, Terry Wayne Phelps (Shelby Bechtold) of Hannibal, MO, Debbie Sue Constable (Adam Brothers) of Hannibal, MO, Donald Wayne Phelps Jr. (Brittany) of Hannibal and Kelli McQuitty (Shannon) of Shelbina, MO; her siblings, Johnny Ames of Moberly, MO, Lawrence "Hoot" Ames of Moberly, MO and Bonita Campbell of Moberly, MO; and her grandchildren, Kevin L. Nichelson (Michelle), Jason L. Nichelson, Garry Bond (Lindsey), Tiffany Driver (Josh), Lexie Schweiger, Morgan Smeltzer (RJ), Desiree Constable, Katlin Constable, Brylan Phelps, GiGi Phelps, Jaden Phelps, Taytum Phelps, Malika Sturm, Jo-Lena Mudd, Malik White, Jo-Vion White, Hannah Wells, David Epperson, Steve Meyer, Stephanie Meyer, Timmy Meyer and Nicholas Shelby Meyer. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
