She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Mette and Emma Straub Mette; her spouse G. W. "Bill" Allen; and her siblings, Frieda Munger, Dorothy Bogue, Louise Schluckebier, Julia Lehenbauer, Alberta Jackson and Raymond Mette.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Allen (Meri) of Hannibal, MO, Shelley Oglesby (Jim) of New London, MO, Colette White (Claude Jr.) of Hannibal, MO and Thomas Allen of Hannibal, MO; and her grandchildren, Jessica Barrett (Ryan), Amanda Fleming (Joe), Alisha Wilcox (Jaccob), Cindy Livesay (Wesley), Derek White (Alexis) and Jacob White (Annee). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1201 Lyon St, Hannibal, MO 63401).
