It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois J Sprague of Hannibal, Missouri, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Nixon and Lois Agatha Nixon; her husband Rev. Donald A. Sprague; her daughter Karen Sprague; and her siblings, Lawrence Nixon, Lincoln Nixon, Charles Lee Watson and Georgia Mae Shaw.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Karry and Dawn; her son-in-law Karry Richardson; her sister Lora Jones; and her grandchildren, Angel Crider, Raefeal Crider, Jr., William Ewing, Jr., Joel Richardson and Allison Ewing. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
She ended her professional career as the Executive Director of the Economic Opportunity Foundation in Kansas City, Kansas, working with low-income families on self-sufficiency.
