She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward Tyree and Erma Lee Riley Tyree; her husband Leon B. Smith, Sr.; her son Leon B. Smith Jr.; and her granddaughter Melissa Smith McCutcheon.
She is survived by: her children, Rita V. Paden of Quincy, Illinois and Mark A. Smith (Tammy) of Hannibal, Missouri; her daughter-in-law Mary Smith of Hannibal, MO; her sister Marguerite Darley of Hannibal, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Chet Smith (Joanie), Tiffany Culp (Charlie), Rachael Closser (Jason) and Kelsey Rickey (Brenton). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made the Mayo Clinic for cancer research.
