She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur E. Craig and Evelyn Blanche Craig; her husband Albert G. Schanbacher; and her son David Craig Schanbacher. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hesterlee (Edward Hesterlee) and James Scott Schanbacher (Kenneth Sherman) of Westwood, KS; her grandchildren, Justin Hesterlee (Kristin Hesterlee) of Atlantic Beach, FL and Stephanie Hesterlee of Jacksonville, FL; her great grandchildren, Landon Hesterlee of Atlantic Beach and Luna Hesterlee of Jacksonville, FL; and her great great grandchild Peyton Rae Hesterlee of Atlantic Beach, FL..
Due to the current COVID environment the services for Janis will be a private family funeral service held on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Hannibal.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Hannibal Arts Council, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
