He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Fuqua and Pauline Dowell Fuqua; and his siblings, Barney Fuqua, Darrell Fuqua and Joyce Jeffries.
He is survived by: his son Jeremy Fuqua (Karin Schultz) of Arlington, VA; his brothers, Doug Fuqua (Evelyn) of Carterville, IL and Kevin Fuqua (Shelly) of Chapin, SC; his nieces and nephews, Daren Jeffries, Patrick Jeffries, Shonda Koechner, Tasha Knapheide, Ryan Fuqua, Vincent Fuqua, Cory Fuqua and Samantha Fuqua (Sam); and his sister-in-law Gerry Fuqua.
