He is survived by: his sons, Duncan Ellis of Hannibal, MO and Brant Bailey (Jill) of Hannibal, MO; his siblings, James Ellis, John Ellis (Vicki), Joe Ellis (Lori), Jan Ellis (Theresa), Jeff Ellis, Joy Palliser (Jim), Jeanne Hammock and Julie Kenniston (Jeff); and his granddaughter Sloane Elizabeth Bailey.
