He was predeceased by: his wife Agnes Marie Brothers Byrd; his siblings, Ralph, Harry, William Byrd, Eleanor Polly, Grace Hosey, Harriet Byrd, Jerry Seymour and Marydell Blythe; his son Robert Byrd; his grandson Justin Byrd; and his great grandchildren, Brantley Bates, Luca Ross and Lillianna Bates.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Byrd (Angie) of Loraine, IL, Harold Byrd Jr. of Ursa, IL, Donald Byrd (Amy) of Quincy, IL and Kathlene Murphy (Donald) of Hannibal, MO.; his grandchildren, Alyssa Uppinghouse (Adam), Kelsie Byrd, Mikayla Byrd, Kristy Jo Brigman (Jarred), Susan Goudschaal (Josh), Jason Byrd (Heather), Robert Byrd, Philip Bates (Bethannie) and Brianna Shepherd (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Anika, Levi, Skylor, Taylor, Bentley, Brayden, Wyatt, Raylee, Braylon, Brycen, Aerilyn and Michael. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews.
