He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvis G. Palmer and Lilly Mae Wilkerson Palmer; his son Melvis Glenn Palmer; his sister Glenna Miller; and his brother-in-law Darrell Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Salyer; his daughter Brenda Sue Palmer of Hannibal, MO; his stepsons, Christopher Harlow (Jessica) of Monroe City, MO, Michael Harlow (Kelsey) of Hannibal, MO and Troy Culp of Hannibal, MO; his siblings, Jimmy Palmer (Casey) of Hannibal, MO and Shirley Fountain of Hannibal, MO.; and his grandchildren, Wesley James Harlow, Luke Christopher Harlow, Remington Grace Harlow and William Michael Harlow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
