It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Whittaker of Hannibal, Missouri, born in Steelville, Missouri, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar and Genevieve Whittaker, Sr. (Scott); his wife Martha Sue Shanks; his daughters, Ida Whittaker, Melisa Whittaker, Margetta Lain and Rose Elzea; his brothers, John Whittaker and Delmar Whittaker; his son David Whittaker; and his grandsons, Mark Elzea, Jr., David and S. Navy.
He is survived by: his children, Delmar Whittaker (Rita) of Hannibal, MO and Mary Watkins (Ronnie Cox) of Hannibal, MO; and his siblings, Jim Scott of Steeleville, MO, John Scott of Richland, MO, James Whittaker of Rolla, MO, Albert Whittaker of Hannibal, MO, Archie Whittaker of Hannibal, Mary Ellen of St. James, MO, Linda Plank of Salem, MO, Rose Marie Shockley of Hannibal, MO and Ellen Whittaker of Hannibal, MO. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
