It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David W. Dexheimer of Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David A. Dexheimer and Frances W. "Jeanie" Patrick Dexheimer; his siblings, Jim Dexheimer and Lynne Bagchi; his nephew David M. Dexheimer; and his parents-in-law, Danny and LeVon Griffen.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Griffen; his daughters, Melissa Swaringim (Mike) of O'Fallon, MO and Sara Briggs (Nathan) of Hannibal, MO; his siblings, Bill Dexheimer (Barbara) of New London, MO and Andrea Shrum (Tom) of New London, MO; his sister-in-law Meryle Dexheimer of Hannibal, MO; and his grandchildren, Megan Brockmeier (Jeff), Matthew Swaringim (Maggie), Mitchell Swaringim (Kelsey), Molly Briggs, Jonathan Briggs and Ethan Briggs. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Hannibal LaGrange University, or Gideon International.
