He is survived by: his wife Bernita Ott; his children, Bette Basnett of Jefferson City, Susan Southard (Michael) of Rolla and Michael Abel (Carol) of Vichy; his grandchildren, Becky Lannert (Matt), Jessica Murdick (Colin), Valerie Basnett, Travis Basnett, Carrie Stark (Ryan), Nathan Abel (Courtney), Jerry Newton and Kelsey Southard (Paul Benne); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Howarth of Belle and Pat Henley. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
