He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Nelson and Mary Jo Yager Nelson; his brother James Earl Nelson; and his uncle Carl Yager. He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Nelson of Bowling Green, Irene Aylor (Terry Huff) of Florida, Judy Harris of Hannibal, MO and Tresa Lempka (Bill Norris) of Hannibal, MO; his siblings-in-law, Rose Rickard of Hannibal, MO, Mary White of Hannibal, MO and James Welch of Cairo, MO; and his aunt Jean Yager of Hannibal, MO.. He is also survived by children of his family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Children's Christian Ranch.
