He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clyde William and Carlene Ruth Richmiller Beers; his wife Sue Ann Mills; his sons, James Lee Beers (Rachelle) of Quincy, Joshua Beers (Brianne) of Knoxville, TN and Matthew Andrew Beers of Lake Charles, LA; his grandchildren, Haley Beers, Aspen Beers, Dakota Myers and Arley Howard; his sisters, JoAnn Mussetter (Bill) of Quincy, Mary Saxbery (James Steven) of Quincy, Ruth Saxbery (Dennis) of Springfield, IL and Debbie Wear (John) of Quincy; his brother-in-law Fred Washausen; his sister Sandra Washausen; his brother-in-law Gary Ames; and his nieces, Teresa Saxbery, Melissa Mussetter and Amanda Ames. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
