She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Clark and Pearl Smashey Clark; her husband Franklin Bates; her sons, Ronald Bates (Melissa) and David Bates; and her siblings, Teresa Gilbert and Harry Cook II. She was also cherished by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
