She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Henry and Barbara Engelbrecht (Sommerer); and her husband Leonard McNarie. She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Schawo of Warrensburg, MO. and Cindy Asher; and her grandson Aidan McNarie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Historical Society or the Hamilton United Methodist Church in her memory.
