It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Richard Pierce of Hamilton, Missouri, born in Portland, Oregon, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Gwendolyn Pierce; his sons, Rick and Mike Pierce; and his brother Alan Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Pierce; his children, Vickie Gaines (Dave) of Black Canyon, AZ and Kevin Pierce (Rhonda) of Vancouver, WA; his stepchildren, Michael Carter (Gale) of Hamilton, MO, Leslie Carter of Longview, WA, Bill Carter (Carrie) of Basehor, KS and Debbie Carlson (Robert) of Pensacola, FL; his brother Larry Pierce (JoLynn) of Grand Junction, CO; and his sister-in-law Pam Pierce of Brinnon, WA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
