He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafayette Ellsworth and Ruth Alden (McCutchen); his wife Janice Cornelius; his daughter Ramona; and his sister Mary Jones.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Alden (Beverly), Hamilton and Ron Alden (Judy); and his grandchildren, Jake Alden (Annette), Jalane Vaughn (Mat), Haley Chandler (Andrew), Maggie Scott (Eric), Tyler Alden, Whitney Stephenson (Sam) and Dallas Davidson. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Shorthorn Foundation.
